The Ultimate Guide For Writing A Perfect Blog Post

It wouldn’t be a mistake to say for many people out there sitting down to write a blog post on a regular basis seems like a very difficult task.

All kinds of questions and doubts will run through your head and I also have the same questions about where do I start? What am I going to say? How many words do I use? And how do I get my point across?

These kinds of questions are very common in the minds of many bloggers even the more experienced bloggers have them and never think you are alone in this, there are many just like you out there and myself included.

But here is the thing, you don’t have to be an eloquent writer or a pro to start writing a blog post. You just have to get something to say that will resonate with your target audience.

These people (the audience) are not looking for a masterpiece from you, usually just some useful information on a subject they are interested in or a simple solution to a problem.

So what are you waiting for? It’s time for you to put those daunting questions aside and start writing. And sometimes just having a general outline can help you kick-start your creative juices, you can also construct a template to help you get started.

Now let’s see how you can write an amazing post on your website.

8 Ways To Write A Perfect Blog Post

Tips for writing a perfect blog post

1. Write A Catchy Title

More people would read your title than they would actually read through the blog post. Write the title in such a way that will grab people’s attention and curiosity.

If the post title looks plain or ordinary people are hardly going to read the content even though you wrote an amazing post no one is going to know about it.

To get ideas on how to come up with an interesting title, you can use Title-generator and type in the keywords to suggest the most unique title to use in your own article.

2. Have A Lead Paragraph That Sums up The Blog Post

This is very important, the lead paragraph should get right to the purpose of the blog post and make it relevant to the reader.

After the title, this can be the most important part of the blog post and If you take too long to summarize what the article would convey to the reader you may lose them. Keep it short, concise, and clear.

3. Add Images

You need to find good images for the blog post. Images are used to draw in your readers into the post itself. Find an image that relates to the article and feature it prominently.

But that doesn’t mean you can go online and search for an image to use. Remember there’s copyright rule in place, so don’t just go taking images online.

There are plenty of websites where you can get free copyrighted images and one of my favorites is Pixabay.

They’ve millions of free cool images for you to use on your website all you need to do is to sign up for free and get started.

4. Add Your Personal Experience And Story

It is always good and fun to put yourself in the post when possible. This will help your readers to connect better with you.

Try to share your personal experience and advice with them and let them get to know you and learn from your mistakes.

5. Make the Main Body Of The Article Scannable

Employ the use of number list, bullet, and small headers to allow your readers to quickly scan the article from the top to bottom giving them a quick idea what the post is all about.

Nothing is more daunting to a reader to look at a page that just seems like an endless long paragraph with no break. So use call-outs to break up the page and to add neat details on the article.

6. Use Simple Words, Shorter Paragraph, And Sentences

Another way to make your blog post more readable is to include using shorter paragraphs. Try to stick to three or four sentences per paragraph.

If you do more than that, the post will start to look too long to read. I struggled at first with keeping the sentence short, but as time goes by I made the right adjustment to get my blog post more readable and start getting more impressions on my website.

So avoid long sentences at most, shorter sentences make reading faster and straightforward to the point you are trying to convey to the readers.

7. Keep Your Post Short

There has been the question of how long should a blog post be?

Well, this is my personal view and what works for me. One of the biggest obstacles to getting people actually writing on their blog is the fact that they think every post has to be long.

While it is good to have some long blog post on the main topic of the website, it is also good to know that not every post need to be filled with longer thoughts and information.

Keep many of the post short and educational and make sure it exceeds the 300-word count to help with SEO.

8. Add Internal And External Links

Adding links is one thing a lot of people don’t take seriously when writing a blog post. We all don’t have every knowledge and information right from our heads, so whenever you quote someone or use any information always include the source link on the post.

This will make the post more credible and convincing.

Also, add internal links on a relevant post on the website. The internal links will help you keep the article short as you will be referring the readers to a more detailed post while driving a point. Plus you keep the reader on the site and moving to other pages of the website which is good for SEO.

In conclusion- using these tips will give you the idea to kick-start writing your own perfect blog post and convert more readers to your website.

Furthermore, do end the post with a discussion question to encourage comments from your readers whenever necessary.
